Our Target market
Our understanding of our constituency is driven by the definition of an SMME in Botswana, which is based on the number of employees and annual turnover of business
Micro Enterprise: Up to 5 employees and turnover of up to BWP 250,000.00
Small Enterprise: Up to 50 employees and turnover of up to BWP 4 million
Medium Enterprise: Up to 100 employees and turnover of up to BWP 10 million
Membership Criteria
To be eligible for membership in the Association of Small, Medium, and Micro Business Enterprises in Botswana (ASMMEB), applicants must meet the following criteria:
Type of Business: The applicant must own or manage a small, medium, or micro enterprise operating in Botswana.
Business Registration: The business must be formally registered in accordance with Botswana's laws and regulations.
Good Standing: Applicants should be in good standing within their respective industries, and must not have been convicted of any business-related crimes.
Alignment with ASMMEB's Mission: Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to the principles and objectives of ASMMEB, including advocacy for SMMEs, business development, networking, and education.
Active Participation: Members are expected to actively participate in ASMMEB's events and activities, contributing to the betterment of the SMME community in Botswana.
Please note that the association reserves the right to review and approve all membership applications to ensure they meet these criteria. Membership is confirmed upon receipt of the annual membership dues.

1. Eligibility: Membership is open to small, medium, and micro enterprises operating in Botswana that meet the eligibility requirements stated in our Membership Criteria.
2. Membership Duration: Membership is valid for one year from the date of acceptance and payment of dues, and must be renewed annually.
3. Membership Fee: All members are required to pay an annual membership fee, the amount of which will be determined by the Executive Committee.
4. Membership Termination: ASMMEB reserves the right to terminate membership if a member fails to comply with the rules and regulations of the association, or acts in a manner that is detrimental to the objectives of ASMMEB.
5. Changes in Terms: ASMMEB reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any changes and continued membership constitutes acceptance of these changes.
6. Data Protection: ASMMEB respects the privacy of its members and is committed to protecting their personal data. All member information will be kept confidential and used in compliance with data protection regulations.
7. Liability: ASMMEB shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred as a result of participation in ASMMEB events or activities.
8. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising out of membership shall be resolved through negotiation and mediation. If these methods fail, disputes shall be settled according to the laws of Botswana.
